About The Position

The Welder/Fabricator performs welding and fabrication on airport ground support equipment, ensuring safety and functionality through skilled use of tools and interpretation of technical drawings.

Requirements

1+ year of TIG pipe welding
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints
Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
Pass a background check and drug screen
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, and other techniques to repair and build airport equipment and structures
Read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings to accurately fabricate components and assemblies
Maintain and repair a variety of airport ground support equipment, ensuring safety and functionality
Measure, cut, and prepare materials with precision using tools such as plasma cutters and grinders
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards in all welding and fabrication work
Conduct inspections and tests on welds to ensure durability and compliance with specifications
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to complete complex fabrication and repair projects
Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
