About The Position
The Ticket Writer is responsible for processing transactions of betting slips in accordance with governing regulations. Transactions included, but are not limited to, the selling/cashing of tickets, make change, cash checks, and redemption of tickets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years casino experience.
- Previous money handling experience preferred.
- Strong people skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
- Verifies and balances drawer funds at beginning and end of shift. Safeguards said funds.
- Collects appropriate amount of money from guest for wagers and makes the correct change.
- Removes, records and turns in amount of cash at the end of shift with all necessary paperwork.
