About The Position

Sell tickets to events occurring at the SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District complex facilities. Positions are limited to on-call assignments which do not exceed 1040 hours per year. Supervision is provided by higher-level staff. The primary duties involve selling tickets to the public for scheduled events, completing mail order transactions, advising customers on availability and seat locations, and providing general information about events, ticket availability, and costs. Responsibilities also include maintaining records of sold seat locations, calculating sales transactions, receiving payments, preparing and balancing daily receipts summaries, and preparing reports and correspondence as necessary. Other related duties may also be performed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computers and software programs (e.g. Microsoft software packages).
  • Knowledge of techniques for providing a high-level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of procedures related to the handling of cash and ability to accurately make cash transactions in a fast, efficient manner.
  • Ability to operate cash register and other equipment related to work performed.
  • Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations.
  • Three months of experience in the handling of cash receipts involving a high volume of sales of goods and services to the public.

Responsibilities
