About The Position

New York City FC is seeking a seasonal paid Ticket Operations Intern to support day-to-day ticketing functions and contribute to preparations for the club’s transition to its first soccer-specific stadium, Etihad Park, opening in 2027. This role will play a key part in matchday execution and backend ticketing operations across multiple venues, including Citi Field, Yankee Stadium, and Sports Illustrated Stadium. The intern will assist with ticket fulfillment, refunds, some reporting, and will assist as an internal contact for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must be a current college student seeking a career in Sports Management/Business (undergraduate or graduate).
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to solve problems in real-time.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and respond well to changes in direction.
  • Applicant must be able to comply with applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster Archtics is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Process ticket refunds and account adjustments using Ticketmaster Archtics.
  • Support ticket-related requests across Membership Services, Business Development, and Group Sales.
  • Understand matchday ticket operations, including access control set up and troubleshooting.
  • Work all NYCFC MLS First Team home matches and gain live event operations experience.
  • Pull reports and analyze ticketing data for various internal departments.
  • Assist in educating NYCFC fans and internal staff on ticketing processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to support ticket fulfillment and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to special projects tied to Etihad Park readiness and future operational planning.
  • Gain exposure to additional areas of ticket operations through various departmental projects and assignments.
  • Work up to 30 hours per week in a fast-paced professional sports environment.
  • Participate in NYCFC’s internship program activities and professional development opportunities across the business.
