Box Office Ticket Buyer for Charleston, SC
About The Position
The Ticket Buyer purchases tickets at venue box offices for live events and shows, including music, sports, and theatrical performances. Buyers receive ticket purchase orders through a smartphone app, travel to venues, and use a company-provided credit card to purchase tickets. They enter purchase details in the app and ship the tickets to the company. Commissions are paid weekly by direct deposit after tickets are received; there is no base pay. The schedule is flexible, with work approximately two days per week for 1–4 hours per day, generally between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., depending on venue box office hours. No experience is necessary.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Be physically able to drive, ride, or walk to venues to buy tickets.
- Have a smartphone to view order requests and enter detailed purchase information.
- Be able to work approximately two days per week, 1–4 hours per day, generally between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.; venue box office hours vary.
- Be able to communicate through SMS.
- Be accurate, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Be trustworthy, reliable, and engaging.
- Have good verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a rideshare or delivery driver, shopper, courier, or in other gig-type work may be a good fit; experience is not necessary.
