About The Position

This algebra-based course covers thermodynamics and energy transfer principles in the context of planetary health. Topics include temperature and heat, the first and second laws of thermodynamics, entropy, irreversibility, heat transfer mechanisms, and energy flow in natural systems, along with an introduction to wave phenomena to aid understanding of energy transport. Students explore these concepts through case studies focused on climate processes, renewable energy systems, environmental challenges, and sustainable engineering solutions that impact planetary health.
