Thermodynamics Engineer

Sapsol Technologies Inc

About The Position

This position supports new aircraft program development and in-service aircraft for all thermodynamics-related issues. Responsibilities include analyzing aircraft ice/fog protection systems performance, zonal pressure, temperature, and flow rate, as well as avionics cooling and general thermal analysis of systems and structures. The role requires an understanding of the systems being analyzed and their interfaces with the aircraft and other systems. It also involves communication with internal groups, system suppliers, and flight test teams to resolve issues, plan tests, analyze, and certify modifications. Specifically, this role will assist the Global 7000/8000 thermodynamic team in supporting activities related to bleed air systems, including wing ice protection, environmental control, and ducting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Familiarity with the various aircraft pneumatics systems and their modeling is essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Availability to travel on short term assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree including courses in fluid dynamics, atmospheric icing and heat transfer.
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Fortran 77/95, Visual Basic and C/C++.

Responsibilities
