About The Position
Ballard Rehab Hospital in San Bernardino, California, is a 60-bed rehabilitation facility serving people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The hospital provides a fast-paced, friendly work environment focused on helping patients regain physical or cognitive abilities and return home with the highest possible level of independence. The Therapy Manager plans, manages, and coordinates inpatient and outpatient therapy program development, therapy care delivery, and staff development in accordance with company philosophy and departmental goals. The role is accountable for patient care delivery across Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy; maintaining therapy integrity; supporting interdisciplinary clinical program planning, implementation, and evaluation; facilitating staff development and professional growth; promoting continuous quality improvement; and meeting departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s and/or Doctorate degree.
- Three years of management or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and coordinate inpatient and outpatient therapy program development and therapy care delivery.
- Coordinate staff developmental activities in accordance with company philosophy and departmental goals.
- Ensure accountability for patient care delivery in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy.
- Maintain the integrity of therapy services.
- Facilitate effective interdisciplinary collaboration for clinical program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Facilitate staff development and professional growth.
- Demonstrate a competent model of continuous quality improvement.
- Plan for and accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
