About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bastrop is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Therapist/Counselor to join their Intensive Outpatient Program team. The role involves being a vital part of the program, driving processes to ensure quality and compliance. Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health discipline from an accredited program required.
Active Louisiana licensure in one of the following: PLPC, LPC, CSW, LMSW, or LCSW.
Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience caring for adult/geriatric patients is a plus.
Experience in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), partial hospitalization, or outpatient behavioral health setting.
Experience with group therapy facilitation.

Responsibilities

Participates as an integral professional member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Implements and assists in the supervision of social service interventions to patients.
Demonstrates understanding and interpretation of facility policies to ensure adherence.
Conducts therapy groups according to the daily program schedule, selecting content based on the current population to promote effective therapeutic services.
Completes assessments.
Communicates with family members.
Completes treatment plans.
Participates in staffing with the treatment team as needed.
Demonstrates strong knowledge in a wide range of disorders (cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral).
Performs crisis intervention.
Conducts special case conferences.
Communicates with outside agencies to ensure patient rights, care, and needs are met.
