About The Position

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility providing acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting since 2001. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs. We provide a caring and healthy environment that gives individuals a chance to make positive changes. We are currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as an IOP Therapist. The Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist assists in the bio-psychosocial assessment, case management and treatment of patients under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families, works closely with marketing and AR to communicate referral sources and hospital discharge planner. The IOP Therapist develops, organizes and implements clinical and program activities; directs the implementation and ensures compliance with JCAHO and other related agencies and standards which promote optimum health care delivery. The Therapist is responsible for participating in performance improvement activities, addressing deficits, identifying new problem areas and developing plans of action.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
  • Current LCSW/LMFT/LADC/LCPC licensure required.
  • Knowledge of running therapy processing groups.
  • Knowledge in writing Master Treatment Plans and Intervention Sheets.
  • Experience with administering and documenting psychosocial assessments.
  • Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)

Responsibilities

  • Applies psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and provides assigned patient care within the general policies, philosophy, and objectives.
  • Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services needed, revising as necessary.
  • Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
  • Implements interventions appropriate to the developmental needs of the patient in accordance with the treatment plan demonstrating sound clinical and professional judgement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
