About The Position

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is hiring a Therapist for its Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program in Bladen County, North Carolina. The role provides a full range of substance use and mental health disorder therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and their families. Counseling takes place largely at various school sites. The therapist also performs regular therapist functions during school vacations and summer months.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program with a master’s degree in a human services or related field and have two years of progressive substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hold North Carolina licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and their families addressing substance use and mental health disorders.
• Counsel children, adolescents, and their families, with much of the work taking place at various school sites.
• Perform regular therapist functions during school vacations and summer months.
