About The Position
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to provide high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and/or groups. The ideal candidate is client-focused, ethical, and committed to helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting change. The new hospital, set to open in the second half of 2026, will serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare. It will create over 200 new full-time jobs and will be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children’s Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics. The facility will span more than 88,000 square feet and include an activity yard and gym.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Active, unrestricted state licensure LMFT, LPC, or LCSW
- Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience with behavioral health or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and organizational standards
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and community resources
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Participate in case consultations, supervision, and team meetings
