About The Position
The Therapeutic Assistant I reports to the Nurse Manager and works under limited supervision. The role provides patient care as directed by a multidisciplinary treatment program and supports care-team orientation and therapeutic group programming. The assistant obtains and documents vital signs, records meal percentages, and documents applicable patient care in the electronic medical record. Additional duties are assigned by registered nurses and the Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Obtain Basic Life Support certification within two weeks of hire; accepted certifications include current American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Complete de-escalation training certification within the employment orientation period.
