About The Position

MUSC/Florence is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients, verify records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. The role may also involve collecting blood by finger prick, interviewing blood donors, taking vital signs, and drawing and testing blood samples to screen donors at a blood bank. Applicants must have at least 250 blood draws (“sticks”) for application consideration. External candidates must complete the Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in the position; internal candidates must submit and meet those requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. BLS or CPR certification is required; candidates who are not BLS certified must obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a regional acute care facility with 396 beds, more than 1,500 employees, and nearly 300 physicians. It provides services including heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, surgery, diagnostics, women’s health, and rehabilitation.

Requirements
