About The Position

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist in Florence, South Carolina. The role draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. It may also involve collecting blood by finger prick, conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and drawing and testing blood samples to screen blood donors. This is a career ladder position. External candidates must complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days of starting in the position. Internal candidates must submit and meet the applicable career ladder requirements. The position requires BLS or CPR certification; candidates who are not BLS certified must obtain certification within 30 days of hire. MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a regional acute care facility with 396 patient beds, more than 1,500 employees, and nearly 300 physicians. It provides services including heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, surgery, diagnostics, women’s health, and rehabilitation. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 250 blood draws (sticks) for application consideration.
BLS or CPR certification; if not BLS certified, certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
External candidates must complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in the position.
Internal candidates must submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements.
