About The Position

McMenamins Bagdad Theater & Pub is hiring for a Theater Concessions / Food Runner (18+). McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beverages and pub fare. As a Food Runner, your duties include greeting and seating customers in a high-volume environment, answering phones, directing guests, answering questions about the pub or property, and expediting and delivering food from the kitchen to patrons. You may also be required to help clean and set tables, restock supplies, perform general cleaning, work outside seasonally, and work in various environments. Maintaining excellent customer relations is paramount. This role requires mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, working both independently and as part of a team. In addition, as a concessions team member, you will handle tasks from opening to closing, including expediting food, selling tickets and concession items, serving food and beverages, greeting customers, checking IDs for alcohol purchases, operating a POS system, cash handling, restocking, dishwashing, general cleaning, and maintaining excellent customer relations. Concessions team members will wait and bus tables in dimly lit theater environments. This role can be physically demanding and requires mental agility and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, working both independently and as part of a team. All employees must perform their jobs safely, report safety concerns, and stay current on company events, history, and products. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager on duty.

Requirements

Must be 18+
Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card
Obtain and maintain an OLCC permit
Ability to work well independently and also as a member of a team
Mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment
Ability to perform job in a safe manner
Ability to keep current on all company events, history, and products

Nice To Haves

Previous related experience is preferred
Open and flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

Greeting and seating customers in a high-volume environment
Answering phones
Directing customers to assigned or preferred seating
Answering guest’s questions regarding the pub or property
Expediting and delivering food from the kitchen to patrons in a timely manner
Helping, cleaning, and setting tables
Restocking supplies
Performing general cleaning
Working outside on a seasonal basis
Working in smoking and non-smoking environments
Maintaining and providing excellent customer relations with all patrons
Selling tickets and concession items
Serving food
Pouring and serving beer, wine and spirits
Greeting incoming customers
Checking ID’s of patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages
Operating a POS system
Cash handling
Dishwashing
Waiting and bussing tables in dimly lit theater environments
Performing job in a safe manner and reporting any safety concerns to Management
Keeping current on all company events, history, and products
Other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty
