About The Position

The Pool Club Host is expected to be outgoing, friendly, confident, and sincere, delivering excellent service by initiating warm contact and interactions built on sincerity, concern, and enthusiasm. The role involves coordinating and managing a high-volume seating operation in a fast-paced environment, taking coats, and creating/maintaining guest profiles and preferences. The host must communicate, coordinate, assist, and work well with other teammates to serve guests and create a memorable guest experience, while also having fun.

Requirements

  • Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as, all state and federal laws
  • Possess enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of humor
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards
  • Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization and other duties
  • Adhere to hotel policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, behavior
  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the USA
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Current Foodservice Handler Card valid for minimum of 6 months
  • 1-2 years in a guest service position

Responsibilities

  • Greet, interact and bid farewell to guests in a warm and genuine and enthusiastic fashion
  • Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
  • Provide lateral service including assisting in clearing tables, carry plates to dishwashing area when needed
  • Maintain guest profile, preferences in a database for distribution to staff
  • Be a team player!
  • Coordinate and be responsible for taking coats and managing a high volume seating operation in a fast paced environment
  • Creating and maintaining guest profiles and preferences
