Textile Operator - 2nd shift

About The Position

The Weaver/Textile Operator sets up and operates looms to manufacture products for medical and/or industrial clients. The incumbent is assigned to Industrial Weaving or Medical Weaving and typically operates either a broad loom or a shuttle loom. This is a second-shift schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–1 year of related experience.
Ability to hand off job status to overlapping shifts.
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic mathematical skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Ability to complete paperwork according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications.
Dependability and reliability.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Basic computer skills and ability to use MS Office for email.
Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new processes.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with an ERP system.

Responsibilities

Draw in warp yarn according to specifications.
Follow procedures to install leases/lease rods and knot-tie warps as necessary.
Complete all documentation requirements.
Manufacture fabrics and woven products according to requirements.
Identify and correct defects.
Record qualitative and quantitative measurements in accordance with internal specifications.
Make processing adjustments to ensure product quality.
Accurately log machine downtime reasons using a tablet.
Perform other duties as assigned.
