About The Position

The Test Technician will build, test, and maintain high-pressure fluid and gas systems on vehicles and test articles. The role performs vehicle fluid-system functional checks, high-pressure proof and leak tests, and hazardous operations. It also involves maintaining test facilities and ground support equipment (GSE), propellant, high-pressure, and cryogenic systems; troubleshooting fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems; and conducting field test operations, including high-pressure system operation, fluid fill, drain, and handling, and sensor monitoring. The technician reads and interprets Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), applies aerospace integration practices, operates heavy machinery, and works alongside engineers to build, test, and maintain fluid systems. The position is based in Long Beach, California, and is listed as a project lasting 2+ months. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Compensation is $40–$50 per hour. • Hands-on hardware integration and high-pressure testing experience.
  • U.S. citizenship, green card holder status, or authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Tube fitting and bending experience with common industry fitting systems.
  • Experience with gaseous oxygen (GOx), liquid propellant, and cryogenic handling and systems maintenance.
