Requirements

  • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
  • Typically requires 2 years of test operator or related experience.
  • Demonstrates manufacturing line skills.
  • Demonstrates detailed manufacturing line knowledge and may lead process.
  • Has awareness of Flex technologies/techniques.
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads, and supervisors of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Can perform analyses/ work using some independent judgment.
  • Decisions affect team.
  • Typically requires moderate amount of supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Tests electronic products, components and systems for electrical continuity and function and reliability on a variety of test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers.
  • Ensure products have seal integrity using fluids in leak testing procedures.
  • Determine if the product passes based on pressure dropping test procedures.
  • Test products using destructive test processes to determine if bonding process is proper and completed.
  • Responsible to stop the line if any product fails the destructive test requirements.
  • Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles.
  • Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure.
  • Enters test yield data into appropriate statistical process control system.
  • Notifies the appropriate test/quality engineer if test yields drop below acceptable levels.
  • Inspects product for the correct placement and orientation of untested components.
  • Inspects product for any physical damage or contamination.
  • Places the appropriate test marks on all electronics pass test.
  • Runs tester diagnostics at specified intervals.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance at specified intervals on testers, chambers, fixtures, carrier cards, etc.
  • May train others.
