About The Position

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. One of the initial points of contact in preparation for Manufacturing. This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Requirements

  • Basic tape measure skills.
  • Know how to handle material properly (Ergonomics)
  • Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
  • Possesses a willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with other employees
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles all rails for all doors/frames built (door/frame build) by gluing parts together
  • Ensures the glue application is correct (depending on the work area)
  • Confirms parts are supplied to door/frame builders (excludes drawer box area)
  • Adds glue to rails (door/frame build) & all drawer bottoms (drawer box area)
  • Maintains steady flow of work by supplying enough parts to builder (door/frame build).
  • Ensures Rails/stiles are the correct size according to the build ticket/paperwork (door/frame build)
  • Reads paperwork, Kanban tickets and/or color-coded labels (depending on department)
