About The Position

Unifin International, a Wabtec Company in London, Ontario, is an electric equipment cooling company focused on the power generation and transmission markets. They are seeking an individual for a Tester role within the Testing Department. This role offers the opportunity to learn and gain experience to become a skilled Tester, with potential for future leadership within the department. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and willing to take guidance from senior employees.

Requirements

  • Able to work as an individual or with other departments to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Overhead crane material handling experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Dedicated worker who wants to reach their full potential.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to deal with manufacturing issues, stressful situations, all while meeting tight critical deadlines with assembly team.
  • Possess hand and eye coordination to assemble various fasteners.
  • Detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with 1-2 team members and other departments to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Understand and execute directions from the supervisor to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Operate overhead and jib cranes safely.
  • Be responsible for personal safety and ensuring team safety.
  • Use various wrenches, impact gun, grinders, measuring tape, ply bars, hammers, and other manufacturing tools.
  • Plan time efficiently with speed and accuracy.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to correctly assemble components and products.
  • Interpret drawings and other written instructions to accurately test products.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Record production and operational data accurately and maintain logs of product assembly.
  • Assemble various fasteners with hand and eye coordination.

Benefits

  • Wages: First six months – probation - $31.23
  • After probation – full rate - $34.70

  • Day shift – 40-hour work week; 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
