About The Position

SiriusPoint is seeking a Test Manager for its Ceded Outwards Reinsurance Transformation team to drive technology implementation testing for its Global Ceded function. The Test Manager will be accountable for the program’s overall testing strategy, planning, coordination, governance, execution oversight, defect management, and testing readiness. The role serves as the primary coordination point among business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, subject matter experts, and project leadership. The Test Manager reports directly to the VP, Reinsurance Product lead, with a dotted line to the Business Product Owner, the Global Head of Ceded Reinsurance. The role also has indirect reporting responsibilities to the Transformation and Change Director via the EPMO. The successful candidate will work with senior Ceded Reinsurance subject matter experts, business stakeholders, data and enterprise architects, and delivery teams. This contract engagement requires flexibility to work across US and UK time zones at least two days per week. Examples include starting at 7 a.m. for EST coverage or working until 7–8 p.m. for GMT coverage. The posting gives a contract day-rate range of $950–$1,200 USD and also notes a possible £700–£850 per day outside IR35 arrangement. Other contracting options may be considered.

  • Strong planning, organization, risk-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, resources, and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate business, technology, vendor, and subject-matter teams across geographies and time zones without direct reporting authority.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, including communicating complex testing issues, status, and risks at working and executive levels.
  • Strong attention to documentation, evidence, controls, governance, and delivery accountability, with confidence to challenge insufficient coverage and escalate issues when needed.

  • Coordinate test data requirements and test environment readiness; establish and monitor readiness criteria for testing phases.
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day testing execution across business users, technology teams, vendors, and subject matter experts.
  • Monitor execution against the test plan and milestones, including completion, pass/fail status, retesting, and supporting evidence.
  • Identify and escalate issues that may affect testing timelines or implementation readiness.
  • Establish and manage the defect management and triage process, including severity, priority, ownership, escalation, and closure criteria.
  • Facilitate defect-triage sessions and monitor defects from identification through remediation, retesting, and closure.
  • Escalate critical or aging defects and report residual defects and associated implementation risks.
  • Coordinate UAT across relevant business functions and partner with business leads and subject matter experts on test coverage.
  • Ensure testers understand testing objectives, responsibilities, schedules, and evidence requirements; monitor UAT and outstanding issue resolution.
  • Coordinate testing completion, acceptance, and formal sign-off.
