About The Position

The Test Infrastructure Technician I supports the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying fixtures and programs according to the applicable system qualification process. The role provides production deliverables to Test Support and Manufacturing Operations and assists with building testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling to meet customer expectations.

The technician interfaces with Test Support and Manufacturing, providing documentation and coordinating training for implemented test solutions and operations. In collaboration with Test Support, the role monitors and contributes to improvements in test yields, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime through accurate reporting and clear improvement targets. The technician works with the Test Engineer to improve the test process while balancing cost and coverage, and coordinates test-readiness timelines with appropriate Test Support staff based on the weekly production schedule.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Support the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying fixtures and programs according to the system qualification process.
• Provide deliverables needed to support test solutions in production for Test Support and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assist in building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling.
• Provide documentation and training for implemented test solutions to the Test Support function.
• Provide documentation and coordinate training and education for implemented test operations with Manufacturing.
• Monitor and contribute to improvements in test yields, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime, with accurate reporting and clear improvement targets.
• Work with the Test Engineer to improve the test process while balancing cost and coverage.
• Coordinate test-readiness schedules with appropriate Test Support staff based on the weekly production schedule, working with Manufacturing and Test Support to prioritize support activities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
