About The Position

The Test Infrastructure Technician I supports Test Engineers in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying test fixtures and programs according to the applicable system qualification process. The role provides deliverables, documentation, and training to Test Support and Manufacturing Operations so test solutions can be supported and used in production. It also assists with building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling to meet customer expectations.

Working with Test Support, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers, the technician helps monitor and improve test yields, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime; reports results and improvement targets; and contributes to upgrades that balance cost and test coverage. The position coordinates test-support priorities and test-readiness schedules in line with the weekly production schedule. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

• Operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Have advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil software packages.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Support the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and executing qualification of fixtures and programs under the applicable system qualification process.
• Provide deliverables to support test solutions in production for the Test Support function and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assist with building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling as required to meet customer expectations.
• Provide Test Support with comprehensive documentation and training for implemented test solutions.
• Provide Manufacturing with comprehensive documentation and coordinate training and education for implemented test operations.
• Work with Test Support to monitor and improve test yields, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime, providing accurate reporting and clear improvement targets.
• Work with the Test Engineer to upgrade the test process while balancing cost and coverage and aiming for an optimized, cost-efficient process.
• Coordinate test-support priorities and the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule, working with Manufacturing and appropriate Test Support staff.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
