About The Position

The Test Infrastructure Technician I supports the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying test fixtures and programs according to the applicable system qualification process. The role prepares deliverables to support production and works with Test Support and Manufacturing Operations to implement test solutions.

The technician assists with building testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling, and provides documentation and training for test solutions and operations. In collaboration with Test Support, the role monitors and contributes to improvements in test yield, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime. Working with the Test Engineer, the technician helps improve the test process while balancing cost and coverage. The position also coordinates test-support priorities and readiness timelines in line with the weekly production schedule. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Test Engineer in developing and commissioning test solutions and qualifying fixtures and programs according to the system qualification process.
• Provide deliverables needed to support test solutions in production for Test Support and Manufacturing Operations.
• Assist in building and manufacturing testers, fixtures, and environmental tooling.
• Provide documentation and training for implemented test solutions to the Test Support function.
• Provide documentation and coordinate training and education for implemented test operations with Manufacturing.
• Work with Test Support to monitor and improve test yields, efficiency, intermittencies, and uptime, including accurate reporting and clear improvement targets.
• Work with the Test Engineer to upgrade the test process, balancing cost and coverage to achieve an optimized, cost-efficient process.
• Coordinate prioritization of support activities and test-readiness timelines based on the weekly production schedule, working with appropriate Test Support staff.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
