About The Position

AeroVironment is hiring Test Engineers at multiple experience levels to work onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico, supporting development, integration, verification, and qualification of advanced aerospace, defense, RF, and electromechanical systems. The role helps turn designs into reliable, mission-ready products through test-method development, verification execution, analysis, and resolution of technical issues. Specific responsibilities and seniority depend on qualifications, experience, and program needs. Focus areas may include RF test, systems verification, hardware integration, environmental qualification, manufacturing test, test automation, and field test support. Depending on experience and program requirements, the engineer develops and executes test plans, procedures, methods, and reports; supports hardware integration and functional, verification, validation, qualification, and production-acceptance testing; and configures test setups, fixtures, instrumentation, data-acquisition systems, and automated test solutions. Testing may cover electrical, RF, mechanical, environmental, and system-level requirements. The engineer collects and analyzes data, troubleshoots failures, performs root-cause investigations, and supports corrective actions. The position collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams; reviews requirements and establishes traceable verification methods; supports environmental qualification activities and engineering reviews; maintains test scripts, tools, and documentation; and follows configuration, revision-control, engineering-change, and test-equipment calibration processes. The role may include supplier, customer, or test-facility interfaces, technical leadership or mentoring based on experience, and occasional travel to customer, supplier, test, or field locations. This is an onsite position in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The stated salary range is $75,000–$185,000, with compensation determined by level and other factors. The role requires access to export-controlled information; applicants may be asked for documentation verifying U.S.-person status. Some positions require U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.
