•$75,000 - $210,000•Onsite

About The Position

AeroVironment is seeking Systems Engineers at multiple experience levels to work onsite at its Albuquerque, New Mexico or Germantown, Maryland offices. The role supports the development, integration, verification, and deployment of advanced aerospace, space RF, laser, beam-control, and electromechanical systems. Systems Engineers turn customer needs and technical concepts into well-defined, testable, mission-ready products, working across the product lifecycle with systems, mechanical, electrical, RF, optical, software, test, and program management teams. Assignments may focus on space and ground RF systems, ground-based laser and beam-control products, or related advanced technology programs. Responsibilities and seniority will depend on qualifications, experience, and program needs. More experienced candidates may lead engineering activities or special projects, provide technical direction, and mentor other engineers. The position may require occasional travel to customer, supplier, test, or field locations. The role is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship. A U.S. Department of Defense security clearance may be required by the program; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain one if required. The position is subject to ITAR and/or EAR requirements and may require documentation verifying U.S. person status. The salary range is $75,000 to $210,000, with compensation determined by level and other relevant factors. The benefits package includes health, life, and disability insurance; paid time off and company holidays; parental leave; 401(k) company match and contributions; professional development and training reimbursements; a 9/80 work schedule; and a paid holiday shutdown.
