Test Engineer

Texas Instruments•Knoxville, TN

About The Position

This role develops and optimizes semiconductor test solutions for advanced battery charging products, including highly integrated power management devices, high-current charging solutions, and chargers with integrated power FETs. The Test Engineer works closely with design, validation, product, and manufacturing teams to develop robust, cost-effective Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions that ensure product quality, reliability, and performance. The position covers test program development, test hardware design, device characterization, trim optimization, test time reduction, and support for new product introductions from initial silicon evaluation through high-volume manufacturing. The work contributes to reliable, efficient, and consistent battery charging product performance, accelerates time to market, and supports product quality and reliability. The role includes developing test strategies and ATE hardware and software, qualifying and characterizing silicon, debugging devices and designs, performing failure analysis, and supporting product release to volume production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with integrated power management devices.
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE.

Nice To Haves

  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE such as iFlex, LTX, or VLCT; Eagle experience is preferred and a differentiator.
  • Experience developing characterization test programs and hardware.
