About The Position

Jabil is hiring a Test Engineer IV to lead test engineering activities for next-generation compute platforms in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role supports AI/ML, GPGPU, server, networking, and storage systems, with an emphasis on product quality, system performance, troubleshooting, automation, and operational excellence. The position is based onsite in Florence, Kentucky, and works an overnight 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. schedule: Wednesday–Saturday one week and Thursday–Saturday the next. The engineer develops and maintains test procedures, systems, hardware, and software; leads hardware and software failure analysis; supports new product introduction and production ramp; and uses system and manufacturing data to identify trends and improvements. The role also covers networking, Linux and scripting, liquid-cooling and thermal systems, and leadership of engineers and technicians. Responsibilities include team development, performance management, alignment of engineering strategy with organizational goals, and continuous improvement using LEAN principles and quality metrics. Work is split between an office and a modern, climate-controlled manufacturing floor with moderate production noise. Required PPE includes safety shoes, eyewear, hearing protection, and an ESD vest. The position involves frequent walking on the manufacturing floor, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and extended computer use.

  • Experience with server, networking, and storage systems.
  • Experience with Linux environments and Python and Bash scripting.
  • Experience supporting high-volume production and new product introduction.
  • Experience presenting technical data and leading cross-functional discussions.
  • Advanced Linux command-line expertise.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Knowledge of JSON, system logs, and automation frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of compute architecture and server platforms.
  • Networking knowledge covering switches, routers, optical systems, IP, and Layer 3.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended periods on computer systems and move frequently, including walking on the manufacturing floor.
