About The Position

The Test Automation Engineer will convert existing manual test commands, currently documented in Word, into an automated Python-based framework supporting the ProCuity bed’s gateway module. The gateway module pushes data from the bed to hospital applications. The work is fully focused on automation; the engineer will interact with circuit boards and fixtures, but there is no traditional manual testing component. The automation is intended to address manual testing that currently takes approximately 20 days per round, while internal releases occur every one to two weeks.

This is an onsite role in Portage, Michigan, Monday through Friday, with no remote option. Candidates may come from automotive or other hardware-product backgrounds; medical-device experience is not required. Interviews will focus on Python debugging and CAN-related technical questions.

Requirements

• Experience with Python for test automation and framework development.
• Ready API and API testing experience.
• Mandatory experience with CAN (Controller Area Network).
• Experience with edge devices and hardware products.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub and Jenkins.
• Experience with HTTP/SOAP web services.
• Experience working with physical products or circuit boards, such as automotive or consumer electronics products.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Portage, Michigan.
• Python debugging skills and CAN technical knowledge, which will be assessed in interviews.
