About The Position

In the assigned job role of Technology Consultant 2, the Test Automation Consultant contributes across the software development life cycle, from requirements elicitation and application design through coding, testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution. The role documents business requirements and design decisions, participates in developing and integrating application features, reviews and maintains code, implements test strategies, coordinates bug fixes, and creates user training and support materials. It also maintains records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to build project knowledge.

The position is part of Infosys Financial Services, which works with financial institutions on digital transformation using technologies including AI, cloud, and data-led innovation. The team works on projects across banking, wealth management, and insurance.

The role requires experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript, along with experience in functional, API, regression, database, and integration testing. The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.

Requirements

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
• Experience with functional, API, regression, database, and integration testing.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, and BDD Cucumber.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Experience with Git, Docker/Kubernetes, environment variables, secrets, and test parallelization.
• Experience in SQL and MongoDB database validation.
• Experience validating Splunk logs and executing automation with high-volume data.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
• Ability to relocate and/or travel to the work or project location if required.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned parts of business requirements as part of requirements elicitation.
• Facilitate software application design discussions and document decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transitions to new software applications.
• Help resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
• Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist similar projects.
• Work across end-to-end SDLC phases, translate requirements into development tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on software integration.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
• Perform functional, API, regression, database, and integration testing.
• Validate Splunk logs and execute automation with high-volume data.
