About The Position

In the assigned job role of Technology Consultant 1, the Test Automation Consultant supports software development and testing across much of the SDLC. The role involves gathering and documenting stakeholder needs, participating in software design discussions, developing and documenting code to detailed specifications, executing test plans, reporting defects, and helping integrate new features into existing systems. The consultant also monitors and troubleshoots live applications and documents coding practices, testing methods, and technical solutions.

The position is part of Infosys Financial Services, a global unit that supports digital transformation for financial institutions through technologies including AI, cloud, and data-led innovation. Projects may span banking, wealth management, and insurance. The role calls for an agile, communicative, proactive, and collaborative approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing. The employee must be able to work from the office four days per week. Relocation and/or travel to the work or project location may be required. Requirements

• Experience in software testing and test automation.
• Experience with Selenium automation using Java.
• Experience with TestNG for automated test execution.
• Experience with API automation using Rest Assured.
• Experience supporting banking-domain applications.
• Experience with test design and test execution.
• Experience working with Agile methodology and Rally.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience collaborating with development, testing, and business teams.
• Ability to work from the office four days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs and document stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and help create process documentation.
• Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications according to design specifications and user requirements.
• Execute test plans, analyze outcomes, and report defects to the development team.
• Support integration of new software features into existing system infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, resolve issues promptly, and document ongoing system maintenance.
• Document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions for the team's knowledge repository.
• Contribute across areas of the SDLC and collaborate with development, testing, and business teams.
• Take a proactive approach to monitoring and resolving production issues.
• Share knowledge and support ongoing team development.
