About The Position

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below: I am a Test Automation Consultant with a strong background in API automation testing, specializing in RestAssured as a core skill. I possess hands-on experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured, Postman, and BDD Cucumber. My expertise extends to validating JSON, XML, and ISO 20022 XML schemas, as well as test automation for asynchronous, event-driven systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ. I have practical experience testing banking and payments platforms, with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end payment journeys, including Initiation, Validation, Routing, Posting, Notifications, and Reconciliation. My knowledge of payment rails and standards includes SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, Wires, RTP, FedNow, and CHIPS. I am proficient in message validation (JSON, XML, ISO 20022 schemas), file-based and real-time processing, and asynchronous and event-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ). Additionally, I have hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, and API testing (RestAssured/Postman). I have a good grasp of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins, along with Git, Docker/K8s, environment variables/secrets, and test parallelization. My expertise also includes database validation on both SQL and Mongo, as well as Splunk logs validation. I have experience executing automation with high volumes of data and am proficient in Java and Python. Preferred skills include contract testing with schema-first approaches (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI), building automation for performance, soak, and resilience (throughput/latency/error budgets, circuit breakers, back-pressure), experience with Grafana dashboards, and executing chaos/failover/dr testing (timeouts, downstream unavailability, duplicate submissions, replay protection). I hold a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and am authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship. I am open to relocation and/or travel to work/project locations.

Requirements

API automation testing with rest assured as top core skills
Hands on experience with: API automation: RestAssured, Postman, BDD cucumber
Experience validating JSON, XML, and ISO 20022 XML schemas.
Test automation for asynchronous, event driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Hands on experience testing banking and payments platforms.
End to end understanding of payment journeys: Initiation → Validation → Routing → Posting → Notifications → Reconciliation
Experience with payment rails and standards: SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, Wires, RTP, FedNow, CHIPS

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
