About The Position

KONE is seeking a Test & Code Compliance Coordinator to join their Americas team. This role will support the Trumbull, CT, Albany, Rochester, and Syracuse, NY branches, with the primary location being one of these branches. The position is initially 100% in-office during training, transitioning to a hybrid schedule. The coordinator will manage local and district processes for scheduling tests and inspections, interfacing with Service/Repair Supervisors, customers, third-party inspection companies, and local regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of customer service experience and a willingness to learn the elevator and escalator industry. This role requires proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong organizational skills, a customer service mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage local and district processes for scheduling tests and inspections.
  • Interface with Service/Repair Supervisors, customers, 3rd party inspection companies, and local regulatory bodies to schedule testing and inspections.
  • Schedule and coordinate with Service/Repair Supervisors and Repair Operations Specialist in scheduling of other planned repairs to support efficiency in managing technician and crew schedules.
  • Work with Branch Staffs on expectations, processes, and information required to support Testing and Code Compliance processes.
  • Create billable tenders for testing and inspections for customers (for branches not on ATI Tender Creation), follow-up to obtain approval, create Billable Service Orders, and requisition parts as required.
  • Lead, coordinate, and maintain accuracy of Automatic Test and Inspection Database (ATI) and SAP contractual testing requirements.
  • Report out weekly to the General Manager and Service and Solutions.
  • Track and manage permits and communicate completed inspections to government agencies and customers.
  • Adapt to and implement changes as a result of tracking and monitoring local regulatory directives/violations and requirements, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) code compliance.
  • Manage invoice disputes on billable testing and inspections.
