About The Position

PRIMEdge, Inc. is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager to expand its business across the East Central United States. This is an opportunity to join a well-established, family-owned global company with a strong reputation in the food processing industry. For over 100 years, PRIMEdge has specialized in industrial cutting solutions designed to enhance performance, consistency, yield, and operating costs for food processors. The company is looking for an individual who is passionate about developing new business, understanding customer operations, solving problems, and building relationships within their assigned territory, rather than just maintaining it.

Requirements

  • Competitive, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of a territory.
  • Naturally curious with an interest in understanding equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Comfortable spending significant time inside food processing plants.
  • Skilled in developing genuine, long-term customer relationships.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, from operators and maintenance personnel to engineers, plant managers, and corporate executives.
  • Organized and able to independently manage a large geographic territory.
  • Willing to travel regularly throughout the region.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into food processing, meat and poultry processing, industrial equipment, cutting tools, packaging, MRO, or another technical manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial blades is not required, as the company will provide product and application training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow sales throughout the assigned territory (Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania & Virginia).
  • Build long-term relationships with food processors and key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new customers, applications, and opportunities.
  • Visit customer plants to gain a deep understanding of their cutting processes.
  • Recommend blade, sharpening, and cutting solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Coordinate product trials and assist in evaluating performance and results.
  • Collaborate effectively with PRIMEdge's technical, engineering, customer service, and manufacturing teams.
  • Cultivate relationships at various levels within key accounts, from production floor staff to plant and corporate management.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Represent PRIMEdge at industry trade shows, customer events, and other industry gatherings.
  • Act as a trusted resource for customers, going beyond the role of a typical vendor.
