As a Territory Sales Manager, you are the primary driver of growth and the strategic face of GFL in your region. Your mission is to aggressively expand our market share while maintaining elite service standards.

Requirements

  • 1 year of professional sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Ability to calculate figures (discounts, commissions, proportions, and volumes) and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficiency in writing business correspondence and presenting technical information to managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be comfortable with extended periods of driving and visiting outdoor industrial/commercial sites.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively solicit orders from prospective and current customers.
  • Penetrate new and existing markets to increase GFL’s footprint through cold-calling, site visits, and networking.
  • Manage a robust pipeline using the ACT database.
  • Provide tailored price quotes, prepare sales contracts, and consult with General Managers to ensure profitable margins.
  • Perform waste stream analyses to identify recycling opportunities or special handling needs.
  • Develop a deep working knowledge of our full product line—from commercial front-end upgrades to complex industrial compaction applications.
  • Develop a mastery of branch P&L dynamics, including pricing services, calculating desired margins, and managing cost-of-service variables.
  • Act as a liaison for large-scale municipal and governmental contracts.
  • Represent GFL at business conferences, social functions, and civic organizations to boost company exposure.
  • Maintain a pulse on competitor activity and market trends to ensure GFL remains the provider of choice.
