About The Position

The PA/WV Territory Sales Manager will provide local leadership in some of our highest performing external markets. This role will be the contact point for key distributors in both PA/WV along with being responsible for managing an account base of 150+ key independent accounts. The position will also be responsible for growing sales in the Rhinegeist portfolio with a focus on strategic targets. In collaboration with the Regional Manager in OH,PA,WV, the Territory Sales Manager will help develop a sales plan for their defined wholesaler footprint and team to generate further growth. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will need to show strong leadership, decision making, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Enjoy extensive car travel.
  • 3+ year of sales experience required; beverage sales with a brewery, distributor or retailer or similar relevant business experience is a plus
  • 1 year of experience in a leadership role
  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and a reliable automobile.
  • General understanding of industry terminology and beverage reporting metrics
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and maneuver more than 30 pounds.

  • Beverage sales with a brewery, distributor or retailer or similar relevant business experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly goals for the wholesaler they are assigned to and conduct Weekly or monthly meetings to review current performance
  • Manage inventories by market with a focus on shipments
  • Create action plans for the wholesaler, if goals are not being met.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key retailers and distributor personnel.
  • Manage Point of Sale (POS) & execute marketing strategy throughout the territory.
  • Conduct and/or attend wholesaler(s) sales meetings, educate sales personnel on Rhinegeist brands, and ride with sales personnel.
  • Represent Rhinegeist at festivals, dinners, tastings and events.
  • Targeted list of 150+ accounts focused on increased distribution
  • Have strong sales, communication and presentation skills.
  • Live in or in close proximity to the Pittsburgh market and have the ability to travel throughout the market into WV.
  • Be energetic, organized and a motivated problem solver who can focus and achieve quarterly objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of the local craft geography and culture.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
