About The Position

Armstrong World Industries, a leader in commercial ceilings solutions and eco-friendly building materials, is seeking driven individuals for its commercial sales team. This position starts in Lancaster, PA, with a 3-month intensive training program on the corporate campus, focusing on product knowledge, selling strategies, relationship-building, and hands-on product training. The training prepares participants to manage a sales territory in the United States. With a strong support network, the goal is to help individuals thrive as part of a global manufacturing leader. The role involves consultative selling to architects and designers for commercial projects, and collaborating with distributors and contractors on purchasing, negotiating, and closing deals to drive sales growth. Through training and territory experience, participants will gain business insights, market acumen, product mastery, and selling proficiency, preparing them for future growth and leadership opportunities within the company.

Requirements

  • Individuals in their final year of a 4-year degree or have completed a BS/BA, ideally in sales or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership abilities demonstrated through involvement in student or community organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in sales through coursework, work experience, participation in student organizations, etc.
  • Willingness to relocate two times.
  • Willingness to relocate to Lancaster, PA for the 3-month training program (July through September, 2026).
  • Willingness to relocate to a field sales position upon program completion.
  • Option to select from one of two regional preferences for final placement (Eastern or Western US).
  • Willingness to relocate to any location within a given region.
