About The Position

Auer Steel & Heating Supply Co. is a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies, seeking a Territory Manager - Outside Sales to cover the Northeast Minnesota market and parts of Wisconsin. This role offers a great opportunity to grow in an HVAC career within a well-established company. The primary purpose of this role is to grow sales by identifying customer needs and presenting HVAC residential and light commercial products, programs, and ideas that lead to customer success. The position requires effectively presenting detailed information on various products, programs, and services. The role has the potential to earn over $120K annually and is best suited for someone energetic, dependable, and self-driven.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and use business software and various office equipment including computer, IPAD/Tablets, etc.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable rating.
  • Applicant must reside within territory.

Nice To Haves

  • At least an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • At least one year of HVAC sales or product application experience.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments and meeting with existing customers to review products and programs and determine opportunities.
  • Effective planning, performing, and reporting of physical sales calls to customers on a regular basis.
  • Presenting professional demonstrations or presentations of company products, programs, and services on-site.
  • Liaising between the company and customers regarding pricing, services, and new product launches.
  • Generating and developing opportunities with new accounts through cold calling to increase revenue.
  • Continuously updating customers on company product, program, and service modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Enhancing personal knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental sales meetings and trainings.
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company positively.
  • Attending conferences and trade shows.
  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency with sales management tools.
  • Organizing and attending joint sales calls with vendors.
  • Preparing sales planning and call reports for sales and marketing, and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Updating and maintaining customer data, including contact names and numbers.
  • Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
  • Ensuring follow-up to customer requests to confirm completion.
