About The Position

Civalgo is a Montreal-based technology company transforming how self-performing civil contractors run their operations. Since 2017, our platform has helped construction teams plan better, track performance in real time, and make data‑driven decisions that protect margins. Built for rugged use on active job sites, Civalgo captures field data such as timekeeping, dispatch, payroll, job costing and turns it into clear, actionable insights. We work hands-on with crews to ensure smooth adoption and real impact on the ground. As we expand across the region of Ottawa, we’re looking for a driven field sales professional to bring Civalgo directly to contractors in the region.

Requirements

  • Autonomous, resourceful, and accountable, a true startup mindset
  • Energized by being on the road and meeting people face‑to‑face
  • Comfortable walking into job sites or offices unannounced and starting real conversations
  • Action‑oriented: you create momentum, you don’t wait for direction
  • You know trust in this industry is earned in-person, not through automated sequences
  • 5-7 years of proven success in field sales within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or related sectors
  • Proven success in field sales (construction, infrastructure, industrial, or related sectors)
  • Demonstrated ability to hunt, build pipeline from scratch, and close net‑new business
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel extensively across the Ottawa region and Ontario
  • Strong communication and in‑person relationship‑building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling construction tech, equipment, materials, or SaaS
  • Background with companies like Cansel, Brandt, Hilti, Toromont, Battlefield, etc.
  • Knowledge of heavy‑civil, infrastructure, or municipal contracting
  • An existing network within the construction or contractor ecosystem, especially in the Ottawa region, is a strong advantage and will accelerate your success in the role
  • Bilingual (English/French)

Responsibilities

  • Drive your territory daily, visiting contractor offices, active job sites, and municipal project hubs across Ontario
  • Prospect and qualify heavy‑civil, infrastructure, and municipal contractors through outbound outreach, referrals, site visits, and industry events
  • Deliver tailored, in‑person product demonstrations, no generic pitch decks
  • Build relationships at all levels: owners, PMs, dispatchers, estimators, site supervisors
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery to close
  • Represent Civalgo at trade shows, associations, and regional industry events
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in HubSpot and share market insights with the team
  • Plan and manage your own weekly schedule and territory strategy
