About The Position

The MGH Institute of Health Professions invites applications for term lecturer faculty positions across a variety of programs. Term Lecturers are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon student demand, and typically teach between 3-9 credits per semester. Responsibilities primarily involve delivering didactic content through both on-site and online platforms, managing course delivery, grading, student mentoring, and maintaining regular office hours.

Requirements

  • An advanced or terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Previous clinical experience in applicable programs.
  • An active professional license for programs requiring licensure.
  • A commitment to graduate student success and a demonstrated dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the academic environment.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, administration, staff, patients, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in alignment with their area of expertise and program needs.
  • Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable.
  • Publish and maintain the course syllabus.
  • Oversee course management and content delivery.
  • Conduct assessments and assign grades for student performance.
  • Provide student mentoring and academic support, including designated office hours.
