About The Position

Supports the respiratory care program’s effectiveness, continuous improvement, accreditation and assessment processes, and ensures compliance with accreditation standards. Coordinates student clinical experiences, fostering learning, engagement, and professional development to prepare graduates for success in the respiratory care field. May serve as Director of Clinical Education (DCE) and travel to clinical sites as needed. Participates in service and engagement activities that support the program, department, college, and university. Faculty members are expected to maintain a consistent, in-person presence on location throughout the standard work week. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care or a health-related field
  • Three or more years of clinical experience in respiratory care
  • A valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in education or a health-related field
  • One year of experience as an instructor in a respiratory care program
  • Experience in accreditation requirements, curriculum development, supervision, instruction, and evaluation
