Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Faculty Position in Clinical Psychology
About The Position
Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position within its Clinical Psychological Science Program. This is part of a cluster hire in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. The specific research area within clinical psychology is open, but candidates should complement or expand the program's existing strengths in advancing the understanding, assessment, prevention, and treatment of mental health problems. The program is accredited by PCSAS and APA, hosts an NIMH T32 research training program, and offers a unique Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychological Science. The ideal candidate will contribute new and/or complementary expertise and scientific perspectives to an ambitious and expanding program. These 10-month appointments are expected to begin on August 1, 2027, with negotiable start dates. Requirements
- PhD in psychology (or a related field) at the time of appointment.
- Commitment to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement appropriate for a tenure-track appointment.
- Experience as lead investigator of extramurally funded research, current funding, or strong potential to secure external funding.
- Established record of publications and scholarly work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and/or maintain a robust research portfolio, including pursuing and obtaining extramural research funding.
- Conduct cutting-edge research as a corresponding principal investigator and a collaborating investigator.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Provide service within the department, school, and university.
- Engage actively with the profession and/or the community.
