Tennis and Pickleball Coach
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is hiring reliable, energetic, and positive coaches to teach beginner-level programs for children ages 5–10 (Grades K–5) at schools throughout the Bay Area. The role is in person. Company lesson plans and equipment are provided, with the goal of creating a fun, active, and supportive learning environment for young players. Two program options are available: regular coaching for tennis and other programs, generally Monday–Friday around 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, and Saturday tennis clinics on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Both options pay $18–$24 per hour and may offer back-to-back sessions. These coaching opportunities are available to candidates who demonstrate strong tennis and coaching skills. Coaches must attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours each.
Requirements
- Be at least 19 years old.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Complete required employment screening and documentation.
- Provide a photo and short biography for the company website.
- Currently live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person work.
- Playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
Nice To Haves
- USPTA or PTR certification is a plus.
- Strong tennis and coaching skills are specified for availability in the listed programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes using company lesson plans.
- Manage groups of 8–16 students.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours each.
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff.
- Take a few class photos for program documentation.
