About The Position

The Tender Specialist is a strategic role in DSV, focused on managing and optimizing the tender process for the company. This position plays a critical role in developing pricing strategies, responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), and ensuring competitive positioning in the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tender management, marketing, or pricing
  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficient in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation skills and experience in contract negotiations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with tender management software and data analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Certification in pricing strategy or logistics.
  • Previous experience with tender management software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the process of responding to tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs) specific to Air freight.
  • Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive responses.
  • Develop and implement air pricing strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to ensure the competitiveness of pricing structures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor pricing.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market research.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to create compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in all tender submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contract compliance.
  • Analyze historical data and trends to optimize pricing models.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for pricing adjustments.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on tender performance, win/loss analysis, and pricing effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities.
  • This position may involve leading cross-functional teams during the tender process.
