About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University is seeking a Temporary Research Aide to support an important public health research initiative focused on analyzing PFAS in well water samples across New York State. This position will play a key role in participant outreach, engagement, and project coordination to help ensure the successful collection and management of study data.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong writing and oral skills required.
Experience organizing information, maintaining records, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with GIS software and spatial data concepts is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Recruiting, communicating with, and supporting study participants throughout the project.
Coordinating participant records, communications, and project documentation.
Assisting with data collection, tracking, and management activities.
Supporting GIS-related tasks, mapping, and spatial data organization.
Responding to participant inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
Collaborating with project staff to ensure timelines and project goals are met.
Assisting with administrative and operational tasks that support the research team.
Other duties as needed.
