About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University is seeking a Temporary Research Aide to support an important public health research initiative focused on analyzing PFAS in well water samples across New York State. This position will play a key role in participant outreach, engagement, and project coordination to help ensure the successful collection and management of study data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong writing and oral skills required.
  • Experience organizing information, maintaining records, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GIS software and spatial data concepts is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, communicating with, and supporting study participants throughout the project.
  • Coordinating participant records, communications, and project documentation.
  • Assisting with data collection, tracking, and management activities.
  • Supporting GIS-related tasks, mapping, and spatial data organization.
  • Responding to participant inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborating with project staff to ensure timelines and project goals are met.
  • Assisting with administrative and operational tasks that support the research team.
  • Other duties as needed.
