About The Position
This is a temporary professional role within the Department of Surgery – Orth (M&M and PEC) at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). The position requires dedicating a minimum of 15 hours per week to the educational program, which may include resident supervision and teaching, committee meetings, lecture attendance, lecture presentations, and other educational activities. The role involves maintaining an educational environment that supports resident learning across all competency areas and providing a high-quality educational experience within the area of expertise. Additionally, the position aims to foster an environment of inquiry and scholarship by supporting scholarly activities and maintaining an active research component within the program.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
Responsibilities
- Dedicate sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill supervisory and teaching responsibilities and demonstrate a strong commitment to resident education (minimum of 15 hours per week).
- Maintain an educational environment that supports and promotes resident learning across all competency areas.
- Provide a high-quality educational experience within your area of expertise, ensuring residents receive meaningful instruction, supervision, and guidance.
- Foster an environment of inquiry and scholarship by supporting scholarly activities and maintaining an active research component within the program.
