About The Position
The new Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) is the only facility of its kind in Tarrant County, offering significantly more care spaces than the current facility. A highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nurses, and social workers, provides 24/7 services for individuals experiencing mental health crises. The PEC focuses on patient-centered care, assessing individuals and their situations to create the best possible treatment plans. This role involves psychiatric triage, evaluation, short-term interventions like observation and stabilization, referral services, and evaluation for admission to an Acute Inpatient Unit.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with PMHNP certification OR Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from and accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an advanced practice provider in a psychiatric setting.
- Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license with PMHNP certification.
- DEA Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR).
